"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God." - Colossians 3:1-3 The Raised with Christ Webring is a collection of websites or homepages joined together by their common faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Ring surfers can get a list of the all active sites on the ring, scan through them one at a time, or, for the truly adventurous, jump to a random site. Ring surfers simply look for the following banner (or something like it) on each site webpage. From this banner, ring surfers can go to the next site, the previous site, a random site, or view the list of all sites on the ring. This is what our webring code displays.
Click HERE to view a list of current webring BBSes. So, want to join? Sure you do! To become a member of the Raised with Christ Webring you must meet the following criteria. Please read the below statements carefully before you submit your website to this webring. Your site must be family safe and contain on it, in some fashion, material related to your religious faith in Jesus Christ. This can be your personal testimony, information about your church or youth group, resources or links to Christian ministries or internet resources, online Bibles or Bible studies, Christian images or art, Christian music or other information of a Biblical nature. Your site must not contain any material or links to sites which denounce or attack members of another Christian denomination (ie, no anti-Catholic or anti-Charismatic tirades etc). We are ALL members of the body of Christ and this webring reflects our UNITY in being "crucified with Christ and Risen with Him". Sites which can not refrain from expounding on how this set of believers or that set of believers are all going to hell can just not apply - do not waste your time because you will not be admitted. Your site must not promote or contain any material of an occult or spiritually pagan nature. This includes astrology, tarot cards, wicca and new age material. Although we DO allow you to also be members of Non-Christian webrings which may contain sites of the above nature, we draw the line at hosting and displaying such things on your OWN website. There is a difference between being a witness in a webring or group and promoting non-Christian spirituality on your own website. Some Christian webrings and organizations prohibit membership in groups or rings which contain sites of a pagan or non-christian religious nature. We do not. This webring feels that as believers we need to live IN the world and be a light in the darkness. What better way to attract the lost to your website than by making your site available to them in a webring. What possible good is the salt of the earth if it doesn't ever leave the salt shaker? So you MAY see some of our webring members with webring fragments for such groups as Netsisters, Sisters of the Golden Moon, Crystal Loyalty and others of that ilk. Get over it. If it bothers you, go join one of the other many webrings which prohibit this instead. Your site must not promote, link to or contain any material of an "adult sexual nature" (No pornography). It also must not promote, link to or contain any material of a hateful, racist or bigotted nature. (No God Hates Fags type sites). Your site must agree with the basics of the Apostles Creed. This is the MINIMUM set of beliefs that qualify your site as Christian. For those who do not know what this creed entails, here it is: "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell (or to the dead it says in some versions). On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic (little "c" meaning universal Christian) Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen". If your faith differs on any of the above points of the Apostles Creed then please consider a different webring. The URL you provide for your webring link must be the SAME one on which you place your webring fragment. If you want ringsurfers to arrive at your main index page then the fragment HAS to go on that page. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you don't want to put it on that page that is fine, you can put it on a webrings or links page if you want BUT if you do so, that is where ring surfers are going to arrive. I suggest you put a link on that page to take ringsurfers on to your main index page from where they land. If you submit a URL other than the one you put the fragment on, it WILL be changed on your webring site info by the ringmaster before your site is added to the ring. If you change it back, your site will be moved to the queue until we can agree upon your webring html fragment's location! The E-MAIL address you provide for the webring must be a working e-mail address in case we need to deliever to you a new graphic or html fragment. We want to be able to get in touch with you if necessary. You will be notified periodically about important webring information but we will not send regular newsletters or junkmail to you. Neither will your addresses be sold or used for spam. If I get mail bounced back to me from your address, your site will be moved to the ring queue until you send me your current e-mail address or update your site information with your current or new e-mail address. Your site can NOT be a business or commercial site. This webring is ONLY for non-commerical/non-business Christian websites. If you are selling something on your site such as books, tapes, seminars etc.. please do not bother to apply as you will be declined. Please check the ring sites on either side (Previous and Next) of your site on a regular basis and notify the RingMaster if you encounter any problems hitting those sites or if you can not find the webring fragment on those sites. If everyone isn't working together then the ring will break. If the RingMaster finds your site offline, it may be moved back to the Webring's QUEUE until you notify the RingMaster that it is back online. Use the Edit Site Info link at the bottom of this page. With many sites in the ring and new ones joining, it is not practical for the RingMaster to stay on top of everything all the time, but they do try! Again, if your URL changes and you do not update your site info, the ring will break! It is your responsibility to maintain your ring site information and keep your URL and e-mail address CURRENT. Sites not following the above rules, having incorrect links or URLs, or causing the ring to break by dropping offline without notice are "not cool". This webring will be maintained and monitored regularly. If you have a special problem which requires time to correct then please let the Ringmaster know so that you can be placed in the queue. Otherwise you might return to find your site has been deleted from the ring because no one knew what had happened to you! Adding Your Site to the Ring: We reserve the right to reject any site deemed inappropriate for the web ring. We further reserve the right to remove any site later deemed to be inappropriate. To become a member of the webring, simply follow these steps.... Download a copy of our Raised with Christ Webring Logo. Here's how. Position your mouse cursor over the logo graphic of your choice below and right click, then choose the "Save Picture As" option. Save this image to your harddrive and then upload it to your webpage's server. Do NOT link to this image on our server. This image is needed in a publically accessible directory. Don't forget to customize this part of the Webring HTML fragment to reflect the path to the directory you have uploaded the image file to, otherwise it will not display correctly. Fill out the following form, with the complete URL to the exact page where you plan on putting the ring fragment. MAKE sure the URL you enter above points to the webpage where the ringcode will be displayed! Once you click the "Submit Site" button above you'll receive an auto e-mail confirming that your site has been added to our ring's queue. This Email will also contain your CUSTOMIZED html fragment for placement on your webpage. Add it to your webpage immediately so that it is there when the ringmaster checks your site. If you do not receive an e-mail within an hour then there is a problem. In which case you should E-mail the RingMaster for help. Normally there is no need to inform the Ringmaster that you have been added to the queue as they will also receive an automatic E-mail as well...please be patient. After your site has been verified by the RingMaster and the ringcode is in place with the correct info, your site will be made active on the ring and you'll receive another automatic E-mail letting you know that your webring site has been officially added to the webring itself. That's it!
Help! I've Lost My Customized HTML Fragment This section is only for people who understand HTML code and who have lost their orginal customised webring fragment OR do not want to submit their sites to the ring until they have the code in place (nice but not necessary). NOTE, the fragment code in this section is GENERIC and is not customized for any one website. If you choose to use it, you must make modifications to the code as outlined below. If you know diddly squat about html then skip this section entirely please. Click here for a Generic Version of the webring fragment code. Copy and paste the HTML from the following page into your web editor, then return to this page. ONLY
use this generic version of the code if you
don't get a customised one in the mail. Customizing this code
requires you to possess some basic knowledge of html
code. If you use the generic version of the HTML, you
must customize the HTML code so it will function on your
site! Don't just paste in the HTML as presented.
Also, make sure the references to the Raised with Christ Webring graphic/logo point to the location at which you have stored the graphic on your website's server. Please make sure you do this customization or your site will not work on the ring with this generic HTML code fragment. And, you will not be added to the ring! Edit Existing Site Information This section is only for folks who are ALREADY in the webring who need to login to the webring's server and edit or update their website information. Also, if you have forgotten your password, go to this URL and click the appropriate link and Webring will e-mail you your ringsite password. Bookmark the following shortcut too; you can quickly edit your site info... http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=raised;edit As always, if you have any questions, send e-mail to the RingMaster.
